Every day, I do count two visits in my statistics by this very very odd referrer: an IP stuck to an HTTP prefix.
They do appear in pairs, every day: First one around 10AM and second one around 1PM german time. And they’re coming from an amazonaws.com host. That is all I know.
The referrer itself doesn’t lead anywhere. The IP displayed in that weird URL is the one where this website of mine is being hosted, despite those visits coming from Amazon Web Services.
And the http:// stuck to the IP defies all the little I know about IP addresses.
If this is a spam referrer bot, I’d like to tell him it’s of no use this way.
If these are real human visits, I’d like to let you know your machine leaves very confusing traces.
